    What to Look For

The main feature of Cullen Park is a long narrow manmade peninsula that juts over a half-mile into Maumee Bay. There is a trail that extends to the end of the peninsula, terminating at a natural island, Squadron Island. Excellent views of Maumee Bay can be had, and enormous numbers of diving ducks, especially Lesser Scaup, collect in the bay in late fall, and spring. The heavily vegetated peninsula can also harbor good numbers of songbirds in migration.
